Cheap Flights from Hawaii to Tokyo is One Goal of AirAsia Japan

There’s some moving and shaking in the world of low cost carriers this week, as AirAsia Japan is going under the knife for a little bit of work. They’ll still be around to whisk you off to here and there and, depending on where you want to go, their new destinations may even be more appealing than their former spots.

All Nippon Airways—ANA to their friends—are getting ready to try something new with AirAsia Japan. The new focus will be on warm and sunny destinations, as the carrier wants to do a little more travel to resort and leisure locations. Spots like Guam and Hawaii have been mentioned, but that's just the beginning of the possibilities.  That's not all! The carrier will be getting a new name later this month, as the old AirAsia Japan brand fades off into the sunset. New planes will be acquired, and the revamped carrier should be up and flying by the end of the year. They’ll start with a couple of planes, but should be up to around five or so by the spring of next year.

Despite the focus on overseas leisure options, they aren’t totally forgetting about the domestic market. Flights from Tokyo to spots like Sapporo and Okinawa will still be available, and honestly these will probably be some of the carrier’s first flights after the total rebranding. As it stands, Peach remains Japan's only true and completely operating cheap carrier.
